English Programs

English programme offered by IJN College to assist the organisation to achieve larger aim through effective communications.

Conversational English

IJN College conducting the "Conversational English Program" for all non executives, front liners, counter clerks and those who will benefit from the program.

This 32-hour program will be conducted 3 times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 5 pm to 7 pm in IJN College.

The objectives to have this programme are:-

Total number participants per group is 25.

Award

Certificate of Course Completion / Attendance will be only given to staff who completes all 32 hours.


Intermediate Level English Programs

This programme has been designed for front liners, secretaries, nurses, paramedics and those who will benefit from the program. This program takes on a situational approach to English language eith the main aim to strengthen the participants' basic gramma and bring them to the next level, focusing on customer care.

This 38-hour program eill be conducted 3 times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 5.15 pm - 7.15 pm in IJN College.

The program framework consists of the following:-

Total number participants per group is 24 pax.

Award

Certificate of Course Completion / Attendance will only be given to staff who completes all 38-hours.


English for Healthcare Professional

This course seeks to equip course participants with the necessary productive and receptive language skills to cope within a variety of medical situations, and address good communication skills between healthcare professionals and patients for effective patient care.

Course Content

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the 15 weeks program, the participants would be able:-

  1. To obtain the history and describe the symptoms of patients
  2. To communicate information and instruction accurately
  3. To fully utilize pharmacology reference and a medical dictionary
  4. Interpret, explain and discuss diagnosis of patients
  5. Understand investigations and record information accurately
  6. Able to rephrase, explain, prompt as required during assessment of patients, carrying out procedures etc.

Beneficial To

Dietitians, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Nurse Managers and Tutors, Physiotherapists and Pharmacists.
