Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health

SUMMARY

Students gain a better understanding on the potential safety and health hazards while broadening their skills to meet the increasing demands of the OSH industry. Subjects covered will include safety requirements, health regulations, proper use of equipment, safety hazard recognition, risk assessment, safety systems and team management skills.
Graduates of this programmme are highly employable in their respective field and able to meet the talent in various manufacturing, construction and heavy industries.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia( SPM)

Passed Bahasa Melayu and English and obtained 3 (three) credits in the following subjects:
- Mathemathics or 1 Science
subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science); and
- Any TWO of other subjects (include English and/or Bahasa Melayu if get credit)

 

GCE/O-Level or equivalent

Passed Bahasa Melayu or English and obtain 3 (three) credits (Grade C) in the following subjects:
- Mathematics or 1 Science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science);
and
- Any TWO of other subjects (Include English and/or Bahasa Melayu if get credit) OR

 

Other certificate (Level 3, MQF)

Other certificate related to Allied Health Science with minimum PNGK 2.50

 

DURATION OF STUDIES

2.5 years (7 Semester)
