Caring for the Elderly Workshop


Dear All,

We are pleased to inform that IJN College, in collaboration with Counseling Department, have designed a unique workshop to address issues that surround our elderly clients. This is a group of significant people who have contributed much to families, communities and  the country, but often than not, are forgotten or neglected as they grow older.

 This workshop, “Caring for the Elderly” is scheduled to be held at IJN College on Saturday 12 August 2017, from 8.30am -5.00pm.

 Caring for the Elderly” is designed with the following objectives:

1.       To enhance the care providers’ understanding of the psychosocial needs and adjustments of elderly patients.

2.       To develop a good insight on the elderly patients’ mental health state and well-being.

3.       To improve communication skills in dealing with elderly patients.


Who should attend?

Nurses, Front Liners and other allied healthcare professionals who come in close contact with patients to take this opportunity. The skills learnt can also be practiced on their own family members and friends.
